Steel connections in detail

The project

Modelling and analysis of steel connections with IDEA StatiCa. The digital connection model shows how steel sections, connection plates and fasteners work together. It illustrates the geometry of the joint and provides a basis for assessing force transfer between the connected members.

Connection design considers the governing actions and the individual parts of the joint together. Depending on the detail, these include plates, bolts and welds. The aim is a clearly substantiated and fully detailed connection that fits into the overall steel structure.
